Editing process

I thought I might as well get started on editing but as i didn't want to tamper with the work another member of my group had started I decided to start it from scratch and edit it, especially as what we had filmed already had a vision of what i wished for it to look like which may possibly be different to what she wishes so as not to cause conflict I have saved it as a separate file so that when we meet up we can compromise.

Inaddition the footage Sab and I had reshot today; I felt was of a higher quality to what we had previously shot due to us learning from our mistakes and going out and knowing exactly what it is we wish to accomplish. Further more as the 'performer' I had improved a lot compared to previous filming days which made it easier for me as an 'editor' to use the footage and feel confident that it clearly expresses our artist and our genre clearly.

Re-shooting Scenes

Unfortunately, our shots were literally so shaky so we wouldn't be able to edit anything. We had to go out to our two first locations near South Bank and re shoot the footage that had gone wrong. As it was only two of us it had been quite hard as we had to carry all that equipment on our own but luckily a friend of mine had been with us for a short while to help us out which had been a great thing. We've looked through our new footage and they look much clearer and less shaky, making it easier to edit the shots now.

The graffiti on the wall has changed over the week but looks much better so our new shots look even better!

This particular graffiti shot works really well with our artists message as one of the bases of our brand image is 'girl power'

Production - Practise filming 23 October 2014

On the 23rd October before we began proper filming the group and I did a practise round of filming so hat we could see how Lee reacted in front of the camera. We also used this footage in order to have a practise at editing the base tracks with our official music.
